GREETINGS
Kwe..... Greetings.
My stories are teachings.
My teachings are healing.
Your healings are Life.....to live in harmony with the two worlds, Natural and Spirit worlds.
The Eagle Spirit grants us ability to dream and to see life from higher and wider and teaches us balance in all seven directions.
A medicine man or woman establishs and restores a state of harmony and positive thinking through his Spirital allignment with his blessings or herbs.
A healer helps patients to find their own dreams, visions, and purpose in life.
A silent mind can assess the health of a patient,
The Great Spirit Speaks through the four winds, then Breath is the most powerful force in Nature.

ELDER PROFILE
I hope all Mi’kmaq people will unite and receive, in our generation, a rightful place in Canada, that our youth will be strong, gentle and kind so they may be recognized as people who are proud and noble, and people of the light. For we are the first people of this land that we call Canada.
I hope that we remain to be wise in order to maintain our Indian identity.
Since I’ve been a young man everyone called me Jimmy two feathers. Now I stand in society wearing two eagle feathers as a recognized Spiritual Leader.
My identity was given to me by my name James (in Mi’kmaq, Sage).
From the elders I heard a lot of stories, not how they came to Newfoundland, but how they were
born and lived for the land and off the land. I heard from a ninety two year old Mi’kmaq elder who
did not want to be recognized because he was afraid.
My grandfather had a fox ranch and while I visited him he would tell me stories of a great white moose and his trapping life. These stories were very exciting.
An elder by the name of Joe Paul gave me a pipe and told me how sacred the smoke and pipe meant to him. He would speak a language that is almost forgotten. Now I’m somewhat ashamed that I don’t know my language.
Many of the elders told me that many changes in the world are coming. It is only now I can see
what the elder people meant. The elder people told me the Indian people received hard times from
the government when they first came in contact with the Europeans.

THE VISION PAINTER
Painted on Birch Rind:
A mixture of natural and Acrylic;
Pikto'l Ji'm Miu's......
(The Tree of life),"Beneath Mother"
Pikto'l Ji'm Miu's / Victor James Muise:
Greetings,
Elder Sa'ke'J Muise has many talents.......being a professional artist is just one of them.
The ELDER says that he paints mostly during the Winter.
His work sells very quickly, once completed.
Each of his artistic works is the manifestation of a VISION.
First comes the VISION, then the painting.
The Elder says " Yes. Sometimes when you are painting you are somewhere else. You in the world of the painting. You have to look for a way to get back the reality of life
Most of the world's greatest artists speak of embracing the same creative process......VISION...then.... PAINTING !
Many new paintings done by the Elder can be see above.
They have been completed on birch rind.
The ELDER speaks of his work:
"Wela'lin ":
"O kji niskam ,( O. Great Spirit ) has many gifts, and there are Many Teachings within that painting".
"That is where my Journey began ,with a Mi'kmaq woodland Pipe ,and a two sided drum, made by an Elder and when I was Chief in the St. George's band. He presented the sacred object to me in 1989 and I still carry then with me at times".
"The woodland pipe I passed it on to other people and the pipe still came back to me. I only use it for teaching in the day school system".
"It is very important to know the different kinds of pipes that women or men carry for different reasons. Some times it is only between you and the Creator and still there is understanding and knowledge you can share with others ".
In the past Mi'kmaq people often painted on birch rind using natural paints made from roots and plants.
These painting done by SA'KE'J are artistic manifestations following Vision Quests.
All are for sale. Please contact the ELDER..
Here are pictures of just a few of his creations, painted after Shamanic Journeying.
